On July 13th, Carlton Fields Jorden Burt law firm filed a release and satisfaction of charging lien in the divorce, explaining Timbaland has finally settled his unpaid legal bills and the entire $440k has been paid in full. To go back for a minute,  Monique Mosley, first filed for divorce in 2013 following 10 years together and 5 years of marriage. They share a minor daughter together. At the time, she demanded he pay her alimony, child support, private school expenses, vacation costs and various other expenses.

The divorce was dismissed quietly a year later due to her dropping the case. The reconciliation attempts didn’t work and Monique filed again in June 2015.

The divorce was finalized in March following years of battling it out in court. Prior to the case being closed, Timbaland’s divorce law firm Carlton Fields slapped their client with a charging lien over unpaid invoices for their work, to the tune of $440,000. The lawyer explained he was hired by Timbaland to represent him in the divorce back in September 2015.

A charging lien is filed when an attorney is owed money and it allows them a right to any judgement won by their client at the resolution of the case.

The amount of the lien due to the firm is $440,193.90 through November 2016 for any sums due, owing and unpaid. Work has continued and the amount due to the firm continues to grow with interest.

EXCLUSIVE: Kodak Black Lawyer Wants To Drop Him As A Client: He owes me money!

Kodak Black’s Lawyer Wants To Drop Him As A Client

Looks like the lawyer needs him a little baby who can listen because Kodak ain’t paying him no attention.

According to theJasmineBRAND.com, Kodak Black is accused of screwing over his lawyer representing him in a legal battle with a concert promoter – with his attorney heading to drop his client, saying he refuses to communicate with him or pay
his legal bills.

Here’s the latest: On July 14th, Kodak’s lawyer headed to court demanding the court allow him to drop his client. The rapper’s lawyer, Darren Heitner, explains he is seeking permission to withdraw as Kodak’s representative in the lawsuit. He says irreconcilable differences have arisen between Kodak and himself, which as a result it is inappropriate for him to continue representing Kodak.

He claims to have made numerous attempts to contact Kodak and other legal counsel for him, all of which have completely ignored a multitude of emails, phone calls and which precludes him from continuing to be able to rep him in the legal battle.

Further, he says Kodak is very past due and refuses to pay by way of ignoring communications. The lawyer claims he will be imposed with an unreasonable hardship if the court will not let him drop Kodak immediately.

Here’s the backstory: Last year, the rapper was sued for fraud by Florida-based concert promoters, JackBoyd Entertainment and Three Island Boyz Entertainment.

The promoters explained Kodak signed a deal with them in November 2015 to perform a Valentine’s Day concert. He was to be paid $7k (half upfront) and would perform 1 hour on stage. The promoters said they spent a ton of money on marketing and selling tickets.

Days before the show, Kodak informed them he wasn’t going to show because he was taking a vacation with his girlfriend to Puerto Rico for Valentine’s Day. They sued the rapper for the money lost on the concert and harm to their reputations.

The rapper headed to Florida court disputing they had an agreement on the concert date and claimed they agreed to determine a future suitable date to perform. He also claimed that he was never paid the $3,500 upfront he was owed. As a result, he accused the promoters of breaching the deal first and demanded their suit be thrown out of court. He was represented by attorney Darren Heitner.

EXCLUSIVE: Tupac Movie Producer LT Hutton Blasts Jada Pinkett-Smith: We did NOT misrepresent you in “All Eyez On Me”!

TheJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, LT Hutton, the producer behind the Tupac movie “All Eyez On Me”, is responding to Jada Pinkett-Smith’s most recent comments. As you know, Jada has spoken publicly about how she dislikes the way her relationship with the late rapper was portrayed in the film. In a recent interview, Jada stated,

“What you’re seeing in regards to my relationship with 2Pac is not true. My relationship with Pac would have shown people a true—what he truly was. Cause it’s one thing to see Pac’s persona, publicly, and who he was personally.”

“I felt like it was exploitative of me and Pac – how they used our relationship to sell a movie. And I just felt like it was tomb raiding, in regards to Pac. I feel like we as black people, we have got to protect those individuals that we say are important to us, to our history and to our culture. We can not expect other people to do that if we’re not willing to do that ourselves. Pac is precious to us.”

Hutton has responded to her comments, telling us exclusively,

First off, she had 4 scenes. [There’s] no way that they could sell a movie off that.

He also shared a photo dated for July 2016, with Jada on set chatting with Demetrius Shipp Jr., the actor who played Tupac.

Hutton also noted that Jada discussed her relationship in a 2015 interview.

Hutton adds,

From her own words!!! I repeat, where did I misrepresent her? The only conversation that did not happen was I wanted Tupac [to] tell the world about what she meant to him, so I let him through a poem he wrote, [to] also show his poetic artistry side.

Well okay then. Maybe Jada was hoping to have more expressed in the movie. It appears that after her latest interview that the love for Tupac is still very present. May not have been a Will and Jada had Tupac still been around.

When asked if it was difficult to secure the singer she admits,

“Was it hard? You know what, at first she said no for a very long time and then we spent a little bit of time together and I think she realized that, I think she has a story to tell and she wants to be able to tell it and this was a platform to do that. Yeah! So we are excited to have her.”

Now we all remember that Keyshia Cole explained why she turned down Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, and more during her interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club back on (Feb. 21). According to Cole, Love & Hip Hop creator Mona Scott Young offered her “a little bit more” than $1 million to join the reality show.

“Mona reached out to me a few times and was just asking if I would be willing to do it,” Cole explained. “I think it’s a great platform for artists if you do it right, I wouldn’t want to be in all the crazy stuff.”

We wonder what changed her mind…Hmm.

Check out that interview from earlier this year below.
