Whew chile, Sammie is at it again, and this time causing some definite friction for the lovers in the bedroom with his latest single! The 31-year-old singer connected with rapper Lil Baby for a smooth track titled “Times 10.” In my MJ voice let me say, “you wanna be starting something”, and that is definitely what he has done, for the lovers of course. With over 20 years in the game, Sammie has always managed to keep the ladies mesmerized with his vocals and relate able music on experiences with love. This single takes me back, giving me 90s vibes, and I definitely feel this song will be on the playlist for every couple on Valentine’s night!
On the steamy track, he sings about reciprocating sexual acts with his love interest. “When you freakin’ me, baby, anything goes/But when you go down, I know you care and it shows/I’ll return the favor, baby, times ten…”
Honey Sammie out here just trying to let that future wifey know that he is not stingy in the bedroom!
Sammie took to Instagram recently to announce that in his forthcoming album, which will be dropping soon, he will be more open with us. He has always been pretty transparent in his music career, so it comes as no surprise.
“On my forthcoming album, I’m exposing myself. My triumphs, my losses. My lies, my infidelities, hell even me recently having my heart broken for the first time in my life….I was hurt while creating this album.”
I know ladies you are thinking after hearing “Times 10” it’s a bit hard to imagine Sammie having a broken heart, like who would want to break his heart?! After all, he is the first child star of the millennial which we all crushed over the years! Let that sink in.
Check out a preview of the video for “Times 10” by Sammie and Lil Baby below.
R&B artist Sammie has managed to continue sweeping us off of our feet with sneak peeks of new music from an upcoming album. Last year Sammie received an average of 1.4 million streams per month on Spotify, and his album “Coming of Age” made the top 20 on the R&B charts for iTunes. This year it appears that fans are in for an even greater treat from the savior of R&B himself!
Recently he released snippets for one of his singles via Instagram titled, “Get Right” and honey I’m here to tell you that I am all for this single! Sometimes we do our best to attempt to allow the ones we love to gain that space needed to get it together. Getting it right means leaving the old things behind, so that you can move forward to better things, because a person who loves you, does not deserve to pay for another person’s mistakes. Let’s also be mindful that a person can only handle so much before calling it quits. The single captured the attention of R&B singer, Keyshia Cole and led her to expressing some pointers that he should add to the track. Hopefully fans could look forward to maybe a possible duo on this very song from Keyshia Cole and Sammie. Now that would be epic right? Come through for the fans you two!
I truly believe we all have discovered the guilty actions of allowing the ones we love to suffer because we have not healed from those past hurts. But what makes a relationship strong for any woman is having a man that is willing to fight to love a broken woman. Let’s admit, we all have been hurt by some people we never thought would let us down. I mean seriously how many men out there are actually interested in loving a painting that is not fully complete? We all want someone that is ideally perfect in our eyes but the truth is that none of us are without flaws. So to find someone who is willing to nurture those wounds means a lot. Just the right amount of love and attention can make any flower bloom, so a man who is down to help that Queen “get right” is truly a keeper.
What I adore about this single and so many others to date by him is that he brings to the surface our thoughts and feelings through his music. I’m sure we all remember that music from back in the day that left you feeling like the artist had been sitting in your room when that heart break happened.
Check out what he shared recently on his Instagram from the upcoming single, “Get Right” below.
After listening to those verses, it’s definitely safe to say that he has another winning album on the way for 2018. And no the Queens are not just in love with the handsome lion because of his persuasive ability to steal our attention during the day, but we truly recognize talent and Sammie has managed to deliver us the music we first fell in love with him for consistently throughout the years. Like wine, he simply just gets better over the years and I’m here for every moment!

The show was hot, but what can you expect when you bring two powerful R&B vocalists on to a stage in one building!
The show kicked off at 8:00 pm and shortly after, Sammie hit the stage performing some of his hit singles, as well as songs from his latest album. His new album, “Coming of Age,” dropped on September 15th, and was perfect timing for the tour. I had a moment to speak to Sammie backstage and he mentioned that he had been knowing Tank for a while and that’s how he ended up being part of his tour. Sammie also told me that his new album had been in the works for a while now and of course just listening to it, you can tell he took time to master it. If you all have not got your copy of it yet then you definitely should.
Meanwhile, ladies of course went wild during Sammie’s performance! When he took off his shirt and started performing one of his prior mix-tape singles, “Wetter”, the atmosphere in the room got really steamy!
Sammie recently shared a clip from his performance on Instagram.

Tank put on an amazing performance as well! He lit up the stage with some of his hit singles like, “Please Don’t Go”, “Maybe I Deserve” along with more songs from his soon to release album. Tank also showed major love to those celebrating their birthday’s by blowing out cash into the crowd! Let’s also add that when his shirt came off to reveal those ab’s, I’m sure many probably forgot what he was singing. Check out the clip below of his performance shared recently on his Instagram.
“I’ve learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom.”- Soledad O’Brien.
Imagine a journey of pain, struggle, fear, humility and faith. Sammie’s new album takes us down a sensual path of his life through a combination of heartfelt vocal’s and pulsating escapades. To say that he is making a return to R&B is an understatement. Sammie has been creating and releasing music under his own label, Star Camp Music as an independent artist, for a while now.
Despite some shaky moments in his career, Sammie has remained solid in an industry that can either make you or break you as an artist. With every journey comes the strongest tests of faith, and “Coming of Age”depicts the life of a young boy evolving into a man through love and life experiences.
Through his music on the new album, we evolve with him. In 2006 when Sammie returned to the scene with his single, “Come With Me”, the world was drawn back towards the Sammie we had missed and grew to love. Now in 2017, we are not only “coming with him” but coming into agewith him.
His growth and journey through life and music is phenomenal!
The first track on the album titled, “COA” showcases the most emotional but heartfelt display of love and change. Sammie sings, “What if I told you I changed…would you want me back?”. The song reaches out into your soul to explain the coming of growth and a plea to allow another opportunity.
How many ladies would open your heart back up to a man who displays growth and change not only in words but through actions? Listening to this song is a reflection of just how powerful Sammie is with his vocals and creativity! He has the gift to transition words into a visual image within your mind, and that within itself is an art form that vocalists strive to obtain.
The entire album is amazing!
Evolution is beautiful when you see an artist survive some of the toughest parts of his career. Yet to know the struggle is to love the growth, and we definitely see growth in him. The fans, to include myself who kept following are beyond excited for him with the much deserved recognition for his music this year. For those who know, back in 2009 Sammie went through a rough period with previous management and more, so to be at this height in his music career as an independent artist is nothing short of a blessing.
My favorite track among many on the album is, “Be Alone”and even though I’m sure women all over find it hard to believe Sammie could be alone, the track speaks volumes. A very attractive, charming man in the entertainment industry who can sing like Sammie with no auto-tune is captivating. Yet it comes with a lot of stress and curiosity as to whether the ladies are into you or just into your fame. So despite being able to easily get girls, he expresses that he’s tired of the same stuff, and the fear of possibly being alone because of it all. With growth comes the knowledge that a man needs more than just pretty women parading after him, but also a stable and loyal woman who can wither the storm with him. A woman who understands his status and yet seeks to add and not take from his light.
While Sammie often states that he is not trying to be the “Prince of R&B” but merely a savior to the love for R&B music that has faded over the years, many who are fans are just happy that he remained himself through everything that was meant to break him.
Sometimes while trying to save others…we save ourselves and that’s the start of something amazing.
In the midst of creating music, Sammie is not only bringing us on his life journey vocally but visually as well. A documentary of his story is set to release soon.
So if you haven’t got your copy of his new album then my question to you is, What are you waiting for?
The Prince Of R&B ‘Sammie’ is Back with a New Music Video for his single, ‘Better’.
Sammie just dropped the official music video today for his single, ‘Better’. For many who were wondering where Sammie was and what he was doing, you should know that he has still been at it with his music. Sammie is back for good and of course better than ever for his fans. The soulful singer has always been able to find the right words to say in every verse of his songs, and his single ‘Better’ is definitely a reflection of his love for the ladies!
Sammie is serving up the love and passion through his vocals in the video, and letting the ladies know that you deserve better. This is a single that a lot of women need to hear today because of all the physical abuse and verbal abuse that so many are dealing with, and it’s time you knew that you deserve better!
Now I’m sure many of us ladies would love for Sammie to be our ‘Better’ but since that’s not possible, we can rock out to the firm facts that he is pointing out in the video, that you really deserve a man who can give you more love than heartache and disappointments!
We need more music in the field that supports us as women, and lets us know that we are loved and that we are truly worthy of better than what we allow ourselves to accept. Sammie has always been one to remind the ladies of their worth and value. I absolutely love that his music is a reflection of who he is and he has never changed up on his fans when it came down to his music.
The single, ‘Better’, is the third hot track off of his “I’m Him’ EP. Sammie has been working hard as an Independent Artist and we couldn’t be more proud of him. In a recent interview with Starrdom100, he revealed the difference between him and most performers today in the R&B genre of music, stating that,
“It’s almost seen as being weak if you show love and compassion….I don’t know when love became forbidden, but that’s where R&B derived from. Because in love there is pain, pleasure, there’s mistakes, there’s monogamy, there’s so much content in love. Auto tune gave rappers the ability to rap with melody, and it kind of tricked my industry peers to do the same. That’s when the music industry for R&B derailed. You can’t bash women…it’s almost like R&B singers don’t like women anymore and that’s kind of crazy!” We always did it for the ladies, I never got lost in that, and I always felt they were going the wrong way, and as long as I stayed right where I’m at, I would be one of the ones to resurrect R&B and save it.”
We can definitely agree that he is not only a man for the ladies, but is naturally gifted when it comes to singing. He recently proved that he didn’t need auto tune to help him perform well for his fans! Sammie posted to Instagram recently a video of him singing with the caption that read, “No #autotune needed”.
Sammie added, “Hey man, if you can’t hit the note, keep practicing.” Is Sammie throwing some shade here? Well his vocals speak for themselves so he is entitled to show off for the fans!
