The U.S has been distressed hoping that Russian soldiers were safe. Days before the Missiles were fired, The US military claimed they would notify Russian counterparts of possible target before a strike. In last year’s airstrikes, Russia was given an advanced warning. This year the U.S did not communicate with Russia about the strikes on Syria. Russia has bases and soldiers in Syria. The miscommunication and injury of any soldiers may lead to a conflict between Russia and the US.

The IOC has BANNED Russia from participating in the ’18 Winter Olympics after the country was busted running a massive doping scheme.
Athletes from Russia — in every sport — won’t be allowed to compete, the Russian flag won’t be flown, and officials from the country aren’t welcome in PyeongChang, South Korea where the games are being held.
The Russian athletes who can prove they aren’t doping will be allowed to compete under a neutral flag — but they can’t rep a country.
The unprecedented penalty comes after the IOC completed an independent investigation into the country for operating an expansive state-sponsored doping program.
The United States Olympic Committee addressed the punishment, saying :
“The IOC took a strong and principled decision. There were no perfect options, but this decision will clearly make it less likely that this ever happens again. Now it is time to look ahead to PyeongChang.”
Definitely not a good move or look for Russia at the moment.
The National Anthem has become the topic of discussion this week after coaches and players protest on NFL Sunday by taking a knew during its singing across the league. Former San Francisco Quarterback Colin Kaepernick, has become a household name most notably for his kneeling during the singing of the National Anthem last year.
Colin Kaepernick’s protest has stirred up a lot of controversy starting last year and entering into this current season. Resulting, in outcries for a cultural ban of the NFL in the black community. We must first reiterate the reason why Colin took a knee protesting the flag in the first place. Last year the ex-NFL quarterback took a knee to protest the murdering of black males in America by police officers. This protest had nothing to do with Military veterans; this has everything to do with the unjust treatment of Blacks and Minorities in America.
This ongoing protest has drawn a lot of attention by the national media. Nick Cannon has always been vocal about social justice and equality. He joined members of the community in St. Louis, Missouri who were marching after Jason Stockley’s acquittal for killing Anthony Lamar Smith. These protests have been receiving more attention after POTUS stated “Get these sons of b****es off the field”.
I believe those remarks speak volume about the current state of the nation. I am not now nor will I ever be a fan of silent protest and marching. Protests, rallies, and marches are easily dismissed by the main stream media and very seldom taken seriously. When has this country ever stood up for the rights and freedoms of all its citizens? When has the concerns of the misrepresented or disenfranchised ever been addressed on a national scale?
This country’s very system of politics and government has been built off the oppression of the minority. We cannot forget the history of the country because history without fail will repeat itself. What is under scrutiny? The systematic mistreatment of not just the minority, but the voiceless majority is under protested. The rhetoric explaining the righteousness and honor of this American system is spread by those that have a voice of influence in the media and news.
The truth will never see the light of day when the liars of this system are controlling your access to information. It is not a person that we are warring against. Nor is it a group of people that we are in opposition to. American ideologies has conditioned people to justify the murder of unarmed civilians. It is the indoctrination of American people that is the true adversary.
The national attention that this protest is receiving can either be good or bad. It can either bring light to an existing problem or it can cause a further racial divide. One thing is for sure, the struggle for equality and justice continues. We as a people must realize the grave injustice that has struck this country.
Charlamagne tha God and Rolling Stone have settled their beef in a charitable way … teaming up to make a donation after the magazine printed a headline falsely accusing him of making transphobic comments.
We’re told the money will go to the National Black Justice Coalition. The exact amount is unknown but we’re told it’s in the thousands.
The ‘Breakfast Club’ host had fired off a legal letter to RS demanding an apology and retraction after they picked up his July interview with comedian, Lil Duval.Duval had made headlines by alluding that he’d kill a transgender woman if he discovered he’d unknowingly slept with one. RS then ran a headline saying Charlamagne made transphobic comments, which Charlamagne called defamatory since he never made such remarks. Rolling Stone later changed the headline.
In a joint statement on Thursday, Charlamagne and Rolling Stone explained: “We hope this gesture brings more attention to the very important issue of equal rights and treatment of the LGBTQ community.”
Tyler Perry is joining in with the donations by so many other major artist and celebrities. In the wake up the Hurricane Harvey devastation, he is donating his own cash to relief efforts and spreading it around to charities that have boots on the ground.
Tyler commended the massive relief efforts in Houston … committing to a $1 million gift. He went to bat for Pastor Joel Osteen too, who’s taken heat for not immediately opening the doors to evacuees.
Tyler says he knows Joel well and that’s simply not the case … and he’s giving him $250k to show he’s still got his back.
Perry’s also giving $250k to Beyonce‘s pastor’s church, and will decide who to donate the other $500k to soon … but says he’s making sure it gets directly to the people who need it.
We are sure there will be some backlash behind his donation to Joel Osteen with the media heated recently when a video went viral stating that the pastor was refusing to open his church doors to victims of the storm.
According to TMZ News, the rescue shelters have literally been lifesavers for thousands of displaced people in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, but there has been some grousing over a disparity in the food served to the evacuees and the food served to the volunteers.
It seems there are bigger fish to fry though because some say that some evacuees at the Convention Center are complaining that they are served hot dogs, beans and chips, while the volunteers are getting pasta, rice, brownies, waffles and various beverages, included malts and shakes.
Sources state that there are thousands of evacuees and it’s a lot harder and more expensive to serve them than the volunteers who are there.
Its being said that the reason for the disparity is that people are bringing food in from the outside specifically for the volunteers.
Everyone is appreciative of the efforts people have made to provide food, shelter and comfort to the thousands of people in desperate need.
