Billboard songwriter / producer James Worthy continues to deliver us that type of music that takes us back to the sounds of an old school era, of what I like to call “real music” in his latest single. In the midst of recently working behind the production of other artist such as J. Young, Jaden Smith and more, he has taken some time out to focus on his solo career.
His new single, “Blu Sunsets” dropped recently on April 19 and has since then been creating a lot of buzz! The R&B masterpiece creates that nostalgic vibe, while making you want to pack up the bags and hit the road with the roof down for a solo escape. Produced by Frisktrackz, the song absolutely delivers nothing but the sounds of love and I’m looking forward to more from this musical genius.
Check out the new single below and be sure to look forward to more in the works from James Worthy this year!

Singer Sara Stokes from the reality series ‘Making The Band’ and ‘From The Bottom Up’, showed her love for the album last night on Instagram!
We all have been fans of the group since they first made their appearance on the scene back in the 90s.
Jagged Edge began their mainstream recording career with the single “The Way That You Talk”. They followed this in 1997 with the album, A Jagged Era which managed to go gold featuring the singles “I Gotta Be” and “The Way That You Talk”. “I Gotta Be” which was written by the twins, reached #11 on the R&B charts and #23 on the Hot 100.
Following up their debut album, Jagged Edge released J.E. Heartbreak in 2000. The album was the group’s breakthrough album with several popular singles. The album went double platinum and had the hit single “Let’s Get Married” which topped the R&B charts and reached #11 on the Hot 100. The album’s second single, “He Can’t Love U” (released January 18, 2000) had similar success, reaching #3 on the R&B charts and #15 on the Hot 100. It also featured the track “Promise”, which reached #1 on the R&B charts and #9 on the Hot 100. We’re so happy to see the group is still doing their thing on the music scene and we support them all the way no matter what!

Teenear releases her original new single “Something Else”, all in the midst of her Travis Scott, “Goosebumps,” cover buzzing all over the web. “Something Else” was produced by Grammy nominated producer Velous, after taking a break from working with Billboard artists like Jeremih; Velous teamed up with iHeart tour performer, Teenear, to create another smash. “Something Else” is an up-tempo R&B song, that describes meeting someone unexpectedly and discovering new things in life and love.
“It’s about that one person who came into your life, made such an unexpected impact, that now you can’t let them go. Their presence made you do and feel things you haven’t felt before.” – Teenear
“Something Else” kicked off with a VIBE magazine premiere and is sure to carry us through the summer. Fans can catch the Slip-N-Slide artist, performing in May, as part of the Rolling Loud tour, alongside Kendrick Lamar, Future and more. As for now, enjoy her new single and please share.
More About Teenear
Slip-N-Slide Records recording artist Teenear is carving a lane of her own. The Miami native began singing at the age of 3 and honed her craft through participating in pageants, talent shows and in church. With her sights set on singing, dancing and acting, she is poised to be Miami’s next breakout star. At 15 the singer took her parents’ advice and uploaded a performance cover of Rihanna’s “Stay” to her YouTube channel and began creating a buzz. She kept the momentum going with a cover of Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You,” which left quite the impression on the star herself.
In 2015, she released her debut single; “Friday Night” featuring rapper Sage The Gemini, then followed up with the mid-tempo “Streetlights” in 2016. “Friday Night” went global when Japanese dancer Kahonna used the song for a choreography video and “Streetlights” received a dancehall inspired remix featuring rapper Trina in the fourth quarter of 2016. The two releases display the singer’s progressive growth that only continues with the new music that she is preparing to release.
Teenear kicked off 2017 with “Last Night,” a breakup anthem that that fuses R&B with bounce and kept the momentum going with the Velous-produced “Something Else.”
“I love R&B because it’s just so much fun to sing,” says Teenear. “I will always keep some of that close to my heart, but my lane is a mix between urban and pop.”
Jim Jonsin, Marley Waters, Stereotype and Lamb are among the producers that she is currently working with. Yearly, she teams up with Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara Jordan and the Ted Lucas foundation for their annual turkey giveaway. Her philanthropic efforts also include visiting the Miami Children’s Hospital and working with the American Cancer Foundation. With influences that include trailblazers like Mariah Carey, Brandy, Aaliyah and Beyoncé, her vocal prowess and a positive image that is reflected in her music. She can be seen performing as a part of iHeart’s Juice High School Tour as well as the 2017 Rolling Loud Festival in Miami. (bio source: teenear.com)

The Prince Of R&B ‘Sammie’ is Back with a New Music Video for his single, ‘Better’.
Sammie just dropped the official music video today for his single, ‘Better’. For many who were wondering where Sammie was and what he was doing, you should know that he has still been at it with his music. Sammie is back for good and of course better than ever for his fans. The soulful singer has always been able to find the right words to say in every verse of his songs, and his single ‘Better’ is definitely a reflection of his love for the ladies!
Sammie is serving up the love and passion through his vocals in the video, and letting the ladies know that you deserve better. This is a single that a lot of women need to hear today because of all the physical abuse and verbal abuse that so many are dealing with, and it’s time you knew that you deserve better!
Now I’m sure many of us ladies would love for Sammie to be our ‘Better’ but since that’s not possible, we can rock out to the firm facts that he is pointing out in the video, that you really deserve a man who can give you more love than heartache and disappointments!
We need more music in the field that supports us as women, and lets us know that we are loved and that we are truly worthy of better than what we allow ourselves to accept. Sammie has always been one to remind the ladies of their worth and value. I absolutely love that his music is a reflection of who he is and he has never changed up on his fans when it came down to his music.
The single, ‘Better’, is the third hot track off of his “I’m Him’ EP. Sammie has been working hard as an Independent Artist and we couldn’t be more proud of him. In a recent interview with Starrdom100, he revealed the difference between him and most performers today in the R&B genre of music, stating that,
“It’s almost seen as being weak if you show love and compassion….I don’t know when love became forbidden, but that’s where R&B derived from. Because in love there is pain, pleasure, there’s mistakes, there’s monogamy, there’s so much content in love. Auto tune gave rappers the ability to rap with melody, and it kind of tricked my industry peers to do the same. That’s when the music industry for R&B derailed. You can’t bash women…it’s almost like R&B singers don’t like women anymore and that’s kind of crazy!” We always did it for the ladies, I never got lost in that, and I always felt they were going the wrong way, and as long as I stayed right where I’m at, I would be one of the ones to resurrect R&B and save it.”
We can definitely agree that he is not only a man for the ladies, but is naturally gifted when it comes to singing. He recently proved that he didn’t need auto tune to help him perform well for his fans! Sammie posted to Instagram recently a video of him singing with the caption that read, “No #autotune needed”.
Sammie added, “Hey man, if you can’t hit the note, keep practicing.” Is Sammie throwing some shade here? Well his vocals speak for themselves so he is entitled to show off for the fans!
Demetria McKinney drops sexy video for her new single, “Easy”. The video was directed by RTD Entertainment.
“I wanted a video that gave off a cool, sexy, artsy vibe that showcased me as an artist,” says Demetria about the video’s concept.
The sultry track is available now on iTunes. “Easy”, which was co-written by Demetria McKinney, Courtlin Jabrae and Devin Horton, is the first single from her forthcoming album, Officially Yours, set to drop this Spring.
About Demetria McKinney
Vocal powerhouse Demetria McKinney is a triple threat in the truest sense of the term. She is an award-winning actress who has played diverse roles on the big and small screens as well as the stage. She is a talented singer with a rich voice requiring zero studio enhancements. And she is a skillful songwriter who generously expresses emotions in a way that instantly connects with listeners.
Widely known for her role as “Janine Payne” on the hit TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” which has taped over 254 episodes and received five NAACP Image Awards for Best Sitcom and now in syndication on BET. Demetria will also be reviving her role as Janine in the new Tyler Perry show “The Paynes” debuting on OWN in 2018.
Demetria was also a cast member on Bravo TV’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season” 7 and had cameo appearances on Season 8.
Even though her acting career keeps her very busy, Demetria always makes time for her first love: music. This eOne Music recording artist over the past few years has recorded and performed with artists such as Lyfe Jennings, Musiq Soulchild and Anthony David. Demetria has also opened for R&B mainstays such as Tyrese and Tank and has toured with the Pepsi Funkfest and R. Kelly.
Her latest single “Easy” is a song about a woman living and loving a man in a relationship that is growing. Demetria’s forthcoming LP Officially Yours, is scheduled for release early this year. The soulful ballad was written by McKinney, Courtlin Jabrae and Devin Horton, and was also produced by We Are Starbound Music.
All the songs on Officially Yours emanate from a place within Demetria that up until now she has only expressed through the characters that she’s played. The spectrum of a woman’s life lived out loud – with love, resilience and courage – is represented on Officially Yours.
“As a recording artist, this is where the most truthful, transparent side of me will be seen and heard,” Demetria says. “People mostly know me for the roles I have played, and they are all roles that I chose specifically for the lessons that I would learn from each character. Personally, I never wanted to show vulnerability because I thought it was a sign of weakness. I didn’t want to talk about situations I’ve endured and I would shut off opportunities that would make me connect with any past pain. I always hid behind my characters, and allowed them to overshadow Demetria. But the reason I call this LP Officially Yours is because the music represents the ‘official’ Demetria McKinney.”
McKinney first worked with Tyler Perry on his stage play, “Meet the Browns” and she went on to star in several other of his plays including “What’s Done In The Dark;” “Why Did I Get Married,” and “Madea’s Family Christmas.” Her additional stage work includes leading roles in the plays “The Mountaintop;” “Church Girl;” the musical “I Dream,” in which she portrayed Mrs. Coretta Scott King, and “Dreamgirls” where she performed alongside the legendary Jenifer Holliday. Her numerous film and television credits include the films “Daddy’s Little Girls;” “Breaking Up is Hard to Do;” “Necessary Roughness;” “Let’s Stay Together;” Drop Dead Diva’s and many more.
Demetria released two films last year “Let The Church Say Amen” on BET, directed by Regina King, starring Demetria, Naturi Naughton, Lela Rochon & Hosea Chanchez; and “Sons To The Grave” Directed by Mykelti Williamson, starring Demetria, Trevor Jackson & Darrin Henson.
Demetria is also the brand ambassador for LOREAL’s Dark & Lovely Au Naturale brand.
