15-year-old Danielle Bregolie know as “Bhad Bhabie” was nominated by Billboard Music Awards as the Top Rap Female Artist Along with the hottest and popular rappers in the game Nicki Minaj and new artist Cardi B.
TMZ Paparazzi asked if Bhad Bhabie “was expecting “to be nominated and she replies “Not really”Bhad Bhabie says “she already won” by simply being nominated along with the hottest artist in the game, but also says “Cardi is going to win and she deserves it.”
Bhad Bhabie explains why Cardi B is better than Nicki Minaj and seems to not like Nicki Minaj as an artist.
Although a lot of different artist such as 50 Cent, are surprised with the nominee, it may be a difficult competition. Nicki Minaj has hit the Billboard Hot 100 many times. Bhad Bhabie has just started out and her “Hi B*tch” single was a success. Cardi B had a huge breakout year last year with her number 1 single “Bodak Yellow” and her new album “Invasion of Privacy” debuted on No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album charts this year.
If Cardi B doesn’t win the Top Rap Artist, she still can earn the award for Top Female Artist against pop artist. Cardi can also earn Top Streaming Songs Artist, Billboard Chart Achievement Award, and Top Streaming Songs (Video).
With over 77 Million views on YouTube, Cardi B’s single, Bodak Yellow has made it to number 3 on the Billboard Charts! Cardi B stole the attention of fans and radio stations over the summer when she dropped this hit! The single however is by no means her introduction into the world! Cardi B been putting in work with her music for years and was quick to let social media know that to in a recent video on Instagram.
According to New York Times, a few years ago, she became an a force on Instagram for her frank sexual talk and her comically acerbic wit, and her casually wise and ground-level relatable videos became part of the app’s lingua franca. That earned her a spot on the reliably raucous reality series “Love & HipHop: New York,” though it was clear from the beginning that her personality was far too grand for that show’s microdramas. With encouragement from one of her managers, she took up rapping, and has released a pair of mixtapes that helped to mold her. “Bodak Yellow” is so savage and anyone who listens to it can feel that Cardi B vibe that makes you just want to show off to all your haters and let it be known that you running things! The beat is just hot!
The song has rose to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in only its seventh week of release!
No female rapper has moved as quickly from street hit to chart topper as quick as Cardi B has. Trevor Anderson, a chart manager at Billboard focused on R&B and hip-hop, said, “We haven’t seen a song from someone brand new go up the charts this quick since Meghan Trainor,” noting that was typically the preserve of more established stars like Justin Bieber or Rihanna. That it happened “without a meme, without a dance, it makes it that much weirder,” he added.
This month, she released a Spanish remix of “Bodak Yellow” featuring the Dominican-American rapper Messiah, one of the key figures in the Latin trap movement. A Spanish-language version of American hip-hop has been gaining popularity over the last couple of years, but it might be “Bodak Yellow” that gives it its breakout moment. Cardi B shared a clip of her singing the song in spanish recently during a radio interview.
We are so proud of Cardi B on her success and its well deserved for all the hard work that she has put in to make it to where she is now! You go girl!
