DJ Khaled Teams with French Montana for ‘We Are The Dream’ Campaign to Help Undocumented Students

DJ Khaled is adding more humanitarian work to his resume.

He’ll be teaming up with French Montana for the the We Are The Dream campaign, fueled by MTV and the nonprofit Get Schooled.

Khaled’s role will be to take on the social media push for the campaign, urging fans and those who want to help undocumented immigrants by posting selfies on social media and using the hashtag #WeAreTheDream and tagging @GetSchooled.

“We all deserve our own path to success, no matter where we are from,” Khaled told People Chica. “The key to success is love, we win more with love and unity.”

“I wanna bless up my mother and father for coming from Palestine to America to give me a greater and better life, and that’s what I’m doing for my son,” DJ Khaled said in a video for the campaign, which you can watch up top.

The initiative goes beyond just social media awareness, though. Get Schooled launched a websitestuffed with helpful resources for undocumented students and their families. There are also a number of $1,000 grants for schools and organizations who advocate for undocumented immigrants up for grabs.

The initiative comes after Donald Trump’s attempts to end the Obama-era DACA program, which helped those who came to the U.S as undocumented children get the necessary paperwork to go to school, work, join the military, and more. As a result, the livelihoods of roughly 800,000 so-called Dreamers hang in the balance as Congress tried and failed to pass a bill that would provide a long-term solution. On Monday, the Supreme Court denied the Trump administration’s request to expedite a decision on DACA, effectively keeping the program running for a few more months, but with few assurances and guarantees to the people who benefit from it.

In the meantime, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials continue to conduct devastating raids all over the country.

This is incredible!
