A tip was received that actors Paul Mormando and Ciro Dapagio got into a shoving match on the set of the new Mob series Silent Partners. During a shoot of Silent Partners actor and director, Ciro Dapagio was doing a sparring session with Action Star Paul Mormando when things got so physical that the two started pushing and shoving after a take. Another actor Garry Pastore (star of HBO’s The Duece) had to step in. Eventually, things cooled down and the scene was finally shot.”
Internationally recognized and renowned martial artists Action star Paul Mormando has been cast as Benny Blades in SILENT PARTNERS, an exciting new series based on real-life mafia boss Dave Iacovetti. Mormando, a Brooklyn native and renowned action star, will portray the heavy-hitting street enforcer for the Gambino crime family, offering ample opportunity for the skilled martial artist to showcase his well-rounded and distinctive set of fighting skills.
Set in 1980’s South Florida, SILENT PARTNERS tells the unbelievable and compelling true story of Good E-Boy Insurance, which served as a front for a Mob-run operation, and how the business went rogue when it partnered with an outlaw mafia member, who just so just happened to be Cosa Nostra royalty and a member of the Sicilian Mafia.
SILENT PARTNERS began shooting on location in Miami at the end of May and the powerful series also stars Garry Pastore (The Deuce) as Dave Iacovetti and Joseph Donofrio (A Bronx Tale) as Dave Jr. Ronnie Marmo (General Hospital), James Russo (Django Unchained, Donnie Brasco) and Antoni Corone (We Own the Night) round out the ensemble.
Paul Mormando is more accustomed to playing the hero in his projects. However, he welcomes the challenge and intrigue that comes with taking on a role that is far darker than what he’s used to, in portraying a real-life gangster. Mormando says “I am really excited to expand my acting range and take on a role that is not the norm for me, especially to be surrounded by such a great ensemble cast.”
Creator Ciro Dapagio managed to catch the eye of well-respected showrunner Pat Andrew, a former executive of Spelling Entertainment. Andrew partnered with Dapagio coming hot off the success of his YouTube web series The MobKing, which won Best New Web Series and Best Lead Actor at the Annual Widescreen Festival in 2018. Dapagio, himself, is a unique figure in the entertainment industry, as a former member of organized crime in Florida who, then transitioned into life as a writer and actor after being released from prison. Dapagio’s experience helps to lend SILENT PARTNERS a distinct sense of authenticity. The show is currently being shopped and hopes to air late 2019. Paul Mormando is represented by Mike Quinn of Silverstone Entertainment USA.
It looks like these two might need to come together so they can get things accomplished!
“I wasn’t in a relationship when I had a porn addiction, believe it or not, thank goodness,” Pinkett Smith said to her co-hosts, daughter, Willow Smith, and mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones.
Pinkett Smith continued, “I actually feel like I was using ‘addiction’ a little lightly. And maybe I’ll say now that I had an unhealthy relationship to porn at one point in my life where I was trying to practice abstinence.”
The actress has been married to Will Smith for almost 22 years, and said she ended up using porn because she felt an “emptiness,” adding that porn gave her “false expectations” when connecting with partners.
In the 23-minute episode, Pinkett Smith, Willow, and Banfield-Jones talked about the shame surrounding the enjoyment of porn, but how an addiction to porn can negatively impact a person’s career and personal relationships.
Sources connected to Tanisha Foster tell TMZ, she will not accept Sam Asghedom, Nipsey’s brother, as the manager of the late rapper’s fortune, which Sam estimates at $2 million. Sam filed legal docs, saying Nipsey died without a will, and he wants to be appointed the administrator of his brother’s estate. A judge is set to rule on Sam’s request June 10.
Under California law, Nipsey’s children would share equally in his estate. In addition to 10-year-old Emani, the child Nipsey had with Tanisha, he left behind 2-year-old Kross, who’s mother is Lauren London. So, each would get around $1 million, less fees and taxes.
Tanisha is fighting for custody of Emani, and if she’s successful, she would have some power in handling the money and would probably be entitled to use some of it to provide for the child. A judge has temporarily blocked Tanisha from having physical custody of Emani … the child is currently living with Nipsey’s sister. Our sources say Tanisha has tentatively decided to ask the probate judge to continue the hearing so she can get clarity on the custody case. We’re told there is bad blood between Tanisha and Nipsey’s family, and she will almost certainly end up objecting to Sam becoming the administrator.

What inspired you to create the single “Come Together?”
Well, the song is originally by The Beatles – epic in their own right. The remake concept actually sprung from KJLH radio personalities Tammi Mac and Don Amiche. “Mac & Amiche”, now “The Tammi Mac Show”, began playing the remixes I was reproducing and performing on YouTube from my “Minute Music Monday” series. They threw out a Beatles iconic song “Come Together” as a challenge to see if I could pull it off as well as I’d done the others in my series. As soon as I heard what they proposed, I was excited and eager to take on the challenge for several reasons: A) I’m all about love, peace, and unity and this song is the embodiment of embracing differences but all being able to come together as one. I believe that message, decades later, in this day and time needs to be echoed to the younger generations and serve as a reminder to the older ones. B) It’s something I don’t think I would have ever suggested myself, nor is it a song people would expect from a young Black female “rapper” from Inglewood. I didn’t want to listen to any other remakes of “Come Together” because I didn’t want my version to sound like anything else that had been done. I needed to keep the integrity of the song. After listening to and researching the absurdity of the lyrics, I was sold on recreating this necessary audio masterpiece but giving it my own taste with an added rap towards the end. Once I brought B.Slade into the mix, it went to a whole nother level!
What was the experience like collaborating with BSlade?
It’s a trip! That’s big bro! Seriously, being able to work with someone you’ve looked up to and been inspired by for most of your life doesn’t happen for most. His energy is infectious and he’s king of being out the box, which is exactly what we needed for this video shoot. On top of that, he’s freaking hilarious; a maniac on stage or on camera, but humble and chill when off. This isn’t actually the first song we’ve collaborated on. We’ve worked on a few things, but our first cut together was a song he featured me on called “Black Lives Matter” for his project called the Black Belt. “Come Together” is the first audio and visual collab we’ve done.
What is the message that you want listeners to take from this song?
It’s ok to be different. Please don’t be a conformist; it’s boring. However the power that we have when we come together (no pun intended), when we truly see one another beyond the differences, past the fear mongering and politics, we make change happen. Most of the lyrics sound like nonsense, much like the noise of the world today; but the one part that people around the world know is “Come Together”. Isn’t that what we still need to do?
In the months ahead, she will be performing at The Viper Room in Hollywood and at the 2019 Women in Entertainment Luncheon, which will be held at AEG’s Dignity Health Sports Park.
Detroit native B Free and Diggy Simmons, were introduced by Big Sean’s best friend Earlly Mac, and decided to collaborate on a song together. Both artists recorded the single together in Los Angeles, CA. For the video, Diggy flew out to Detroit, where they shot the video, and he helped with the radio promo of the single “All Mine”. The single was produced by PGF and the video was directed by Nick Margetic. According to B Free, “Sometimes collaborations can feel awkward or forced, but with Diggy it was natural from the second I landed.”
